Through the discussion of a new (wrongful) Forest Code that was approved by the Brazilian congress, we hear many voices on the matter and reflect on the necessity of immediate action. For the first time the relation between the maintenance of forests and quality of watersupply becomes so clear and serious. Validating the deforestation of the Amazon is an atrocity that harms our most important resource,water, and affects people all around the world.
